 We had a Taize service today in Chapel. I Taize service focuses mainly on contemplative songs to help lead the worshipper to prayer and contemplation. The music is not an end in itself, but rather a means to facilitate the worship of God, a means to enter into "thin places".

I finally broke down and made an appointment with my doc and am currently trying to make an appointment with my counselor. I haven't been sleeping more than three hours a night for the past month. Yeah so it's that time. I almost passed out during service. Actually I think I did for a half second. Now I just feel generally icky! I also think I might be getting addicted to my cloves :(. Whenever I haven't had one for awhile my heart starts beating super fast :(. Ugh 

In this time of Lent, I have been on a journey, as I’m sure all of us have. Perhaps it was a blessing that Brooke passed just before lent began. Maybe it was her timing to give us an excuse to retreat to take time to be with God and express everything that we had been feeling.

 Holy Week began today with the celebration of Palm Sunday.

We had our traditional Palm Sunday Service. The kids gathered together at the back of the church and parade forward waving palms. This particular Palm Sunday was like none other.
