Yeah fuct cars arn't much fun,
i think when you start driving a second hand run-about, you need to make the decision from the start.
A) Its an old banger, and i'll just drive it into the ground
or
B) Its worth keeping, in which case the lecture i got from my folks was 'service it! whether you can afford to or not'

It's a good car, by and large, I've been driving it for like 4 years now with few complaints... it's just not having it serviced for ages that screwed everything up. oh, and pizza delivery. I'm pretty sure it'll work great from now, the mechanic really knows his stuff.

but yeah. cars are really freaking expensive, then things like parking fees, petrol etc etc just add to the mix. public transport is my new best friend.

mmmm cars. mine is currently making this weird "click click click" sound and rolling back when it is in park mode.

I have less experience with automatics so I don't really have any advice, other than to put the handbrake on when parked.
