today i found out that little miss sunshine is a "select release", which means it won't be in grand rapids until august 18. if i wanted to see it today, i would have to fly to new york or LA. that really sucks. i bet they're going to do the same thing with the science of sleep. are we honestly less deserving of seeing good movies just because we ( Read more... )

ahh i can be just as bothered as you are with these kind of things.
i went to a more artistic movie theatre the other day and i couldnt see the movie i wanted to go to because they rescheduled it way up late in the evening. not enough visitors. as if people only go watch these movies in the middle of the night??! pffrtrtrthjre grmbl.

buut.. fio sends her greetings :D

that's so sad! amsterdam is such a big city, they shouldn't have problems like that. what is wrong with people?

yeah i couldn't believe it either. i really looked forward to that movie..it was argentinian and played in a beautiful landscape, got me curious!

but for you too.. even though a trip to ny would sure be fun, it should be possible to have some good movies in your town!!

I blame the no-taste conservative blanket over grand rapids.
apparently all they like are "you me and dupree" and "little man"
they're too bored to watch good stuff.
and I'm dying to see the science of sleep.

California gets everything before the rest of the US, man. When I was there, they had a bunch of cars that weren't released in the rest of the states. It's weird.

eek, i bet. but i think the fact that you live somewhere gorgeous and go on amazing mountain adventures makes up for it!!

i saw charlie and the chocolate factory, it was pretty good. i wouldn't buy it, but i'd watch it again.

you should google the science of sleep and watch the trailer, it looks freaking amazing.
