You had responded to a comment I left with velvetpage and it appears we share a ton of interests...hope you don't mind but I grabbed a few off your list that I was reminded of to add to my own!
Would love to add you to my FList - I am always on the lookout for fellow travelers/writers/seekers...
That is Chris In The Morning in your icon, isn't it? from Northern Exposure? I had such a crush on him, back in the day. He introduced me to Basho. Your icon prompted me to go looking for Chris quotes and I found this doozy that I simply must share: There's a dark side to each and every human soul. We wish we were Obi-Wan Kenobi, and for the most part we are, but there's a little Darth Vader in all of us. Thing is, this ain't no either-or proposition. We're talking about dialectics, the good and the bad merging into us. You can run but you can't hide. My experience? Face the darkness. Stare it down. Own it. As brother Nietzsche said, being human is a complicated gig. So give that ol' dark night of the soul a hug. Howl the eternal yes!
Chevy Chase introduced me to Basho in Caddyshack. :) Chris is who I've always wanted to be, just with my act together a little better. Did I use it somewhere that you saw it? I imagine I must have. Duh.
*grin* I may have seen it on your lj, I'm not sure... I'm a friend of silverstah, and you comment in her lj and you have a very sparkly brain so I sometimes pop over here and read you. I suppose I could just add you to my friends list like a quasi-normal person? May I? fwiw, Chris did have one primary failing common to many poets and philosophers ---he wasn't very good at personal intimacy at all. He got points for being self-aware about the not wanting to be in relationship with anyone individually, but it's still kind of sad. Maybe he grew past that outside of the run of the show...
I've added you, so you have access to most everything. I post quite a bit, though I cut the long ones, but you're welcome to add as you wish. It's my pleasure to meet you.
I've got a little bit of Chris, and some Luke from Gilmore Girls, but my BFF says I'm mostly Mal Reynolds with big drops of Kaylee spread throughout. If that means anything to you. Though I guess none of them are role models for good relationships. :)
Hello! I've wandered through per the ever-lovely girlinthemoon's suggestion. I've noticed many thoughtful comments you've left in her journal in the past and I'd love to read more of you. :) I hope it's ok I've added you. :):)
