Today I sarted an extraction of the marigolds. I cut up 10 plants, separated the leaves, the roots, and the flower buds. I cut them all up and put them in methanol.
What I noticed was this; to make a room smell beautiful take a flower and cut up the buds. -
Research Thoughts
I have this tendency to take over an instrument for long hours on end. Here's an example; I just ran my calibration curve, I haven't run the data yet, but I just set-up my first day of data to run (I have two more waiting in the wings). On Alcohol
So I determined yesterday that light beer has alsmost no effect on me. I got a minor buzz at the beginning which quickly faded. It might have been all of the good food I was eating which absorbed all of the alcohol, or my liver is just so efficient, or I built up a tolerance (which is highly unlikely).
Either way I prefer my nice, darker, tastier -

So I kinda started looking at Grad School. This is mainly a "what is out there?" search. I found this on a registry for undergrad researchers. The schools upload their information, the first sentence for this school;
Stony Brook is a happening place.
I just found it very funny. -
End of year Reflection
I am sitting in a room, different from the one you are in now. I am looking back on the year that I have had. Like any year, it had its up, and it had its downs. I look at the end of the year with the glee that Hannibal Lecter has in Silence of the Lambs when he escapes. I also look back on this school year and am sad that it is ending ( Read more... ) -

I have survived another week of student teaching, I get to move onto 2 more weeks of it, only now I have no aspirations of being a teacher.
