Thank you, that's very sweet. P.S. I just called Al and told him the news. He expected it, tried not to get his hopes up. He asked did I know anyone else who wanted it. Do you want my old job? Consignment+Art person(no assistant-it would be all you). He'd probably throw in some warehouse work for good measure. But he's desperate, he might come close to paying what you ask. And don't forget the bennies-they are good, especially the health care. And the promos are sweet, not to mention tickets to shows. If you want to meet with him let me know, I'll even call him for you.

Sorry the job didn't work out, but it sounds like it's all for the best, anyway. Closure is good. I find that no matter how bad I feel when I leave a company or assignment, within a year, I've forgotten most of the pain and remember only the good things. Then I romanticize the whole gig and think, "I had it good then. Why did I leave?" Except for housekeeping. That sucked ass.

The closure was nice, in a weird Al sort of way. Hah Weird Al! Anyhow-I kinda liked cleaning houses with my friend, but then she started paying me less and less, and working me more and more. That bit. Plus cleaning up single men's bathrooms=nastiness.
