hmm....my toe seems to hurt more than ever. On the up side it's kind of a greeny colour now rather than the startling dead blue colour it was a few days ago. If I were a sensible person I probably would have taken a day off just to put my foot up and rest it when I did it eh. Pity I'm not that person ( Read more... )

hehe.

I've been taking plenty of pain killers. I can't really do ice packs, I've got bad circulation in my hands and feet anyway and they just end up going blue.

It's a bit better today, the bruising has gone down and the swelling.

Quite possibly you shocked your toe when you first hit it. Although i know it hurt then, now that any swelling that you had has gone down, things like wee ligaments are letting you know all about it.

I agree with the frozen peas and ibuprofen, AND rest if you can.

As chieftess of human injuries, i go by the RICE principle which works a treat (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) although i daresay compression on a toe ain't gonna be easy.

I know what you mean about today - it was all...almost too much.

yeah I think you're right...most of the bruising and swelling has gone and now it's just sore to move it. I've been resting it in the evening, it's just impossible to get off my feet in the day.

Yesterday was a strange day for certain.

Tape the toe, dolly lastwordy_mcgee September 19 2006, 21:21:25 UTC
if you haven't already. Also, consider alternating heat and cold. And definitely elevate, It will help

yep my toe has been taped up. I tend to go for heat rather than cold because I have really bad circulation in my feet and hands and it doesn't do me any good to put ice on if I can avoid it.

Oh my gosh....I LOVED it. How great was our boy? Especially when he's consumed th map and he's all smarmy because he's got the upper hand...and when he's protesting against being in the boot of the car...so funny. I'm going to watch it again tonight.

I left the most rambling post on hold_my_pocket about him immediately following the episode. My reaction was basically BEST EPISODE EVER which is blatantly not true from an objective point of view, but there was just so much T-Bag! And he was doing exactly what he does best, which is make a nusience of himself, make with the funnies, be nefarious and generally just steal every scene that he's in. RK is just so wonderful, and I feel like although the last few eps have been good, now that T-Bag is back with the boys he'll just come into his own again.

Honestly, it's pathetic, I woke up on Monday thinking 'what if he dies in this episode?' and practically having a panic attack about it. Everyone keeps talking about his death as though it's inevitable, and it makes me think 'what do they know that I don't?' I'm so pathetic it isn't true.... ;)

No no! I've been thinking the same! I mean if they can kill of Abruzzi, then they can kill off any of them right? I would be absolutely gutted.

I adored the episode. I love the effect he has on Tweener as well, even with his wonky hand, plus the incident last week reminds you he can still do as much damage as he wants, even when he's not at full power.

He's just so crafty and funny. It's all the little nuances that RK puts in to the character that make hims so great! The coin purse moment for example! :D

I am really really hoping and praying that his plans don't change and he doesn't cancel the Breakout convention, although I will be completely star struck if I do meet him!
