i've got more than a few teachers this year who have to work one or two other jobs outside of school just to take care of their families, and that is bullshit.

That's the shocking thing. I take on extra teaching work to supplement my income and I know some of our newly qualified teachers take on evening jobs as well just so they can afford to pay the bills, or they end up having to live at home with parents. It's a ridiculous situation.

It's ridiculous that teachers are not paid more. When it comes to who influences a child and inspiring them... well, besides their parents, their teachers come next... how can one not appreciate them?!
