I got 27/100 on the first list, 40/100 on the second. Guess my attempts at literary intellectualism are just too populist . . . :P
PS: Not to speak too soon, given that our paths seem doomed not to cross, but--may be in NYC this weekend? IF SO: playtime?!

Anna and I have an event at the Figment Arts Festival on Governor's Island this weekend--you should come! It's a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with hat-making and poetry-writing.

Alos, have you read UNDER THE VOLCANO? It always makes these lists and I have yet to meet anyone who's read it.

Oooh--that sounds fabulous! I'll try to make it if I can. Possible to send me more detailed info?
And no, haven't read Under the Volcano. I don't think I've met anyone who's read it either . . .

I'm totally with you - I can't respect any book list that has Ayn Rand or Dan Brown on it, let alone in the top spots.
By the way, I love it when you post these list things and I get to repost them.
