If you don't follow... oberonia was a contestant, i was in the home game. this week they put up a "sacrifice" option. for those to bow out and bring someone back... or in my case, bring someone new in. i'm excited, and nervous. getting back into writing has been an amazing thing

Well I've enjoyed your home game entries so it's going to be interesting seeing what you come up with for the game proper.

I just wish that oberonia hadn't sacrificed herself. I mentioned your name to someone who was asking for nominations if she chose to sacrifice herself. At the moment she's still playing but there's another 24 hours to go, so it'll be interesting seeing if she does decide to bow out and who she'll bring back in if so. It's a completely different playing field now.

i'm excited. i just feel like some of my best stuff was in the home game. i'm like "what if i shot my wad?" so to speak. we'll see. so far it's been a great experience. i've grown through a lot of my recent writing.

I think you'll find the pressure of being in the contest will make you up your game. Get oberonia to beta read your entries before you post if she's got time. A second pair of eyes is always useful and I think with her input you'll do better than you might expect.

I second the thought of having her read your entries before you post them. I have one or two betas myself (one is a current contestant that I trust and admire). I don't do it for every entry, but if it is something completely new and different, then I will ask if they would mind reading it over. Especially because my grammar skills suck (though they are getting better due to Idol, I just never really tried before).

Good luck! I only got to read one of your home game entries due to time constrictions (I had a miserable job that sucked the life out of me). But now that I am no longer employed, I should have plenty of time to read your stuff :)
