I remember those not-so-nostalgic days. I was one of the kids providing rips of Diru CDs to ungrateful "hardcore fans". Now that I've moved on to j-indie music, it's somehow gotten worse?
It really pisses me off when people claim to be fans, but they can't even bother to scrape together the money to buy a CD, and then expect you to give them everything, without even a thank you. A lot of MUCC "fans" piss me off that very reason. I've been seeing their discography uploaded everywhere, and uploaded by someone new every week. I can name about three people who claim that MUCC is their favourite band, but don't have the decency to scrape together enough money to buy a 1200 yen single. Meaning, they literally own NOTHING by MUCC.

what the fuck is with the identity theft thing. are people trying to be you again on myspace?
and about the whole music thing "No word of "thanks" or anything that resembles gratitude. Yeah, that just motivates me to rip and upload more of my stuff, doesn't it?"

Oh, it's not just lurkers, but people who are active on LJ. They are the main problem, because they can take the time to write a 3 page long whining entry but don't have the common decency to say "thank you"? What kind of bullshit is that?
The thing I hate the most about the internet is how people think they have a right to be much more asshole-ish than usual. Whether it's stalking, bullying, stealing, unwanted affections, etc, etc, etc. Just kinda leaves ya' misanthropic in the end, really.
