tonight it felt as though i had accomplished more than i have practically this whole deathly summer (in which i was the basic island). having just watched two fabulous films (& i can finally breathe), there is no doubt in my mind that film is one of the most delicate tools -- inside, i'm partly empty, partly full -- vacant of that whole feeling
