[This comes to Burt some time later...

And thank anything holy that this is voice, because Brennan is rather embarrassed and probably blushing through the bruises covering her neck and shoulders.]

I apologize for that. I don't know why my communicator begins to record on its own sometimes.

Yes, I will certainly do so...

[You better believe she's going to be quite paranoid about her communicator for quite a while.]

[At some point he walks over and picks up the communicator during one of the many breaks, checking out the messages. He smirks at seeing Nagi's response and proceeds to delete the message.]

. . .

[Okay, yeah. He knows what's going on. Why? That's the only question he has. Fffff. Come on, Ms Brennan! Then again...he had just shown her how to make fudge. And we all know what cocoa does to the endorphins in the body.]

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you and whoever you're with ate that entire batch...yeah?

[So, she's getting back to Wonka some time later. But her hair is still a mess and she's got a startling number of bruises visible on her neck and shoulders.

She's also confused by what Wonka is saying.]

Ummm... I've had a couple of pieces, but he hasn't had any...

[His eyes very much widen at seeing the state she's in. Maybe he was wrong in his assumption of what they were doing...

But nevermind! Obviously she doesn't know about chocolate and what it does to the body!]

Oh! Well did you know that chocolate contains a property that triggers the release of endorphins? It gives one the feeling of being in love, which is why I asked about the fudge.

[He looks around uncomfortably.] But perhaps that's not the case here...

[Upon seeing Wonka's expression, she becomes self-conscious of her appearance and pulls her coat closer around her neck. Not that it does much to hide anything...]

Yes, chocolate contains phenylethylamine, which stimulates the nervous system and that can simulate the feeling of being in love. But you're right, this isn't the case here. I am not in love.
