Is it really true that keeping windows closed helps keep rooms cool in temperatures like this? There's absolutely no wind, so I understand that there's no chance of catching a cooling breeze even if I do leave the windows open, but I always thought that it was better to let air circulate and all that? you need to open them at night and let the cooler air in (with the help of some fanning charms) and then close them during the day and pull the shades so that the light and heat stay out. at least that's what my mum always did.
