They might have been trying to describe you, dear.

But that's an incorrect statement. I am not humorless, I happen to possess a good sense of humor.

'As dictated by common courtesy'? Blimey. Who stuck a dictionary up your arse?

Rest of it's not any better, either.

Hey! Feelings of any personal inadequacy on your part are no excuse to be so derisive of my good command of grammar and vocabulary.

Well, this is how I always talk and I fail to see anything wrong with it. Anthropologically, it can be inferred that this disagreement reflects the differences between our respective socioeconomic ranks.

Curses rarely are... unless they're crazy. This curse is harmless.

You could always be the one left out of a massive City-wide curse, and be deemed crazy by the population for the day. That's always fun to see in hindsight.

You make a valid point. I suppose it is all subjective in here. Although being left out allows for an excellent opportunity for observation.

Well hello there. The sexy scientist talk definitely gets you an 8.

...God, thanks City, like I need to rank people I'm just saying hello to.

I take no offense. I'd rather be complimented on the way I speak than insulted - which has already happened, as well. Plus I understand most people have no conscious choice in the matter today.

Women scientists rank up there with lady vicars, in my book. You know, that special kind of power and looks and... well, you catch my drift.

I'm Thelma, by the way. Thelma Bates.
