I'm back in school. Yes, it was a very last-minute decision, but it's definitely the right decision. I can get a little bit of help from the Choctaw Nation (yay for being part native american!), but it's still a very scary struggle right now. I think and have always thought that you are incredibly smart, and that you will be happy because you're determined to be. :-) You are both incredibly talented with animals and have a deep love for them. I know the money's tight when in school (see reason number one I'm not in school... thought that may change, my work has tuition reimbursement) but remember that it's not always going to be this way.

And it sounds like you've had some really good opportunities come knocking. Keep your head up. I also think the volunteering is a really good idea. Especially as it will help you stay focused on *why* you're in school when you have to slog through some dumb text. :-)

Aww, thanks R! I told Brandon about your comment. The part about "you will be happy because you're determined to be" is incredibly astute. I've never thought about it before, but I guess I am very proactive about happiness. If you're not happy, change it! Thank you for the wonderful compliments, it's always good to know that people believe in you. *big giant squashy hugs* I really really miss you.

It feel like that to me too, so I'm going to ride the wave and see how it goes. It's a bit scary heading down this path, because I don't know if I quite realize what I'm getting myself into. I know I'll take it one step at a time and do the very best I can, but it's frightening when you look at the entire picture. Thank you for the luck! :D
