A Coup in a Small Country

It was upon a heavy, muggy eve that they launched the coup d’etat in Alharaca. The oppressive discomfort suffered by those unfortunate enough to live in simple compounds without benefit of air conditioning was so extreme that few citizens managed to get to sleep in any comfortable fashion that evening. Thankye, thankye - though I'd have to say that the one I put up on Jan. 2nd is rather funnier (and, you know, longer). I'm not sure if the ending here works entirely.

And yes, I am technically 18, despite my insistence that time is an illusion.

It isn't one of my favourites, but I like it. :)

For lack of anything more constructive, there's a typo in the last paragraph - hah!
