Had a lovely afternoon, with my best friend. She had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and so has been suffering but was feeling a lot better today. I'd made her a lilac fluffy shawl which she loved, and a box of Thornton's Eden chocs. She deserves to be spoiled ( Read more... )

I'm really enjoying half-term. I feel like me again. I'm having so much fun, just being at home with the girls. I've got jobs done, as well as school work. I've also been reading, knitting, playing on my DS and watching movies. AND I'm off to Whitby on Friday with Jenny and some friends!

I'm so sorry it's been a long time since my last entry. School has dominated everything in the last 7 weeks, and my back injury didn't help. The back is ok now though and it's half-term this week - yippee!!!! I'll try to write a full journal entry tomorrow.

I can finally share my news - I have a teaching job! I can't believe I will be a proper teacher, with my own class! I was asked in July to step in to cover the Year 1 teacher at my Josephine's school who is on long-term sick, but as it was a delicate situation I've only just been allowed to tell people and the parents have been told. We arrived back from North Wales on Saturday, with 3 bags of dirty clothes!!!! We had a great time, and we really lucky with the weather. Apart from the middle weekend it was sun and blue skies every day. We went to my favourite place, Llandudno, a few times, so I was happy.
