I'm a little bit depressed that I can't afford to go to the convention, but I'm more depressed that I'm still just barely getting by in general. It looks like I'll be getting a lot more hours at work in the future, but money's still going to always be tight ( Read more... )

Everybody has to pay to attend con. Some people are working to pay their way, but there doesn't seem to be anything available that I can do.

Liz apparently had to pull teeth to get it to happen, but I'm going to help her with registration.

I feel kinda embarrassed that she had to go to such lengths to get them to agree, to the point where I almost don't even want to go anymore, but she says she really does need me, so I told her I'd be happy to work all three days for her.

I'm working to get into con as well. Don't feel bad Liz had to work hard to get them to agree. Apparently they are being really hardcore and making sure that people are actually going to earn their pass and not just work an hour doing something easy to get out of paying. If you are gonna actually work a decent amount then you deserve the comp and I'm happy you will be there. It wouldn't be the same without you. :)

i wish i could afford to go to con too, but that is not the case. i can't even afford the gas to get out there to see rocky. :(

it's been a while since i've even logged into lj, but it's good to see that you're still posting. i hope to see you soon, but gas money for school has to come first unfortunately. hope all is well. *hugs and love*
