Tell me what you liked about Harry Potter so much that you included two books on your list, please. :)

The thing(s) that I liked about Harry Potter so much that I included two books on the list was the construction that J.K Rowling did. She is a brilliant author who put the series together so beautifully, so connected that my mind could not help but be bedazzled. Not only that but, especially with these two books, you learn so much more about different people in the series, different organizations, different plots, everything. You learn more about Harry and his family, something a reader wanted, when they've gone through what Harry has, with Harry, so to speak. Lastly, what I really liked about the series was the fact that the author delved so deep that one could not help but be engaged in the novels.

Will you tell me a little about I Have Lived A Thousand Years? I've always found Holocaust memoirs very interesting, but I've never heard of that one before.

There are also a couple books on your list that have been turned into movies. Have you seen any of them, and how did you think they compared?

I Have Lived A Thousand Years is a memoir by the author. She was fourteen when her family was moved to a concentration camp. The book is basically about her time at the concentration camp, getting separated from her family and getting freed. I highly suggest it.

I have seen all of the books that have been turned into movies that are on my list. I think that they were all very good, especially the first couple on there. Of course, movies of books can never completely make anyone happy and I do think that there could have been more/less of certain things, scenes, etc.

So what makes I Have Lived A Thousand Years unique from all the other memoirs out there? If it's the story of a Holocaust victim, it's safe to automatically assume that it was about her time in a concentration camp and how she was freed, so that doesn't explain much. :-p

It's unique because unlike all the other memoirs that I've read, it's 1st person. It takes you back to what she felt, how she felt it, what she did that day. As in it was just a story. It was present tense, not past.
