Oh god.

So my mother just had a brainfart and couldn't think of the word for "goose." She instead just spent 20 minutes telling me all about how she loves "honkers."

Apparently, she really loves honkers. She thinks it's great that she can go out to the park at night and see all different kinds of honkers. Summer is the best time of year to see ( Read more... )

You know that sure-thing job interview I had before? I didn't get it. The school district didn't even bring my name up at their board meeting.

Good thing it's Lent because my grocery list is going to have to slim down again.

When your interviewer introduces himself and immediately gives you a tour of the building, it's safe to say that you have the job.

Looks like I can add another district to my list of schools that I'm subbing for. :)

The good news: Turns out that my school calls me in the event of delays and cancellations, so I don't have to worry about fumbling to tune into their elusive radio station.

The bad news: The secretary forgets that I live farther away than most other subs, so she doesn't call me until I'm already up, dressed, and on the road.
