Oh god.

So my mother just had a brainfart and couldn't think of the word for "goose." She instead just spent 20 minutes telling me all about how she loves "honkers."

Apparently, she really loves honkers. She thinks it's great that she can go out to the park at night and see all different kinds of honkers. Summer is the best time of year to see

Omg, I feel for your mom. A couple years ago Nick and I were driving down the street and I saw a goose on the side of the road. I yelled out, "oh! There's a HOOONK!"

For whatever reason, my brain substituted honk for goose.

I just think it's so adorable and endearing and side-splitting funny that I hope my mom never realizes exactly what she's saying. This has the potential to turn into my family's best running joke.
