I have no idea why. I think it is just because of the wrapper. They had a marketing program at some point saying nothing crumbles like a Violet Crumble or something, I dunno. It's been a while since I've had one, but yes, they are good. Try one -- at least then you're trying foreign food ;)

Anything Australian = good. Anything candy = good. .: Australian candy = VERY good. At least that's my logic.

Technically, there's the Violet Crumble, and then there's the Crunchie. Both are very similar; I think the Crunchie is a little more chewy since it uses honeycomb wafers that are less compacted than the Violet Crumble. Try both and see which one you like better - then you can move onto the ice-cream. :)

Those White Rabbit candies are also nice, after a fashion. However, the inner ricepaper wrapper usually gets stuck to the candy itself and can't be removed, so it's easier to just pop the whole thing in your mouth (preferably without the outer wrapper).

Most of my staff is addicted to the White Rabbits. When they saw the bag it was "Can I have one?". Knowing this I was smart and bought 3 bags. We've all learned about the rice paper liner, its the new people who seem to have some difficulty with it. "You want me to do what? Put the whole thing in my mouth? It has that 'stuff' hanging on it, are you sure?"

I'll have to keep my eyes open for the Crunchie, if it's anything like the Violet Crumble it should be good.
