Hey everybody, I'm posting! It's been a few months since I've posted I think, maybe a year, no one can be certain of the exact date, the documents were lost in the great war of '08. Shark week is coming up, and I think I'm going to try and get cable hooked up on the 15th so we can take full advantage of the new big screen tv, and the stadium ( Read more... )

  • I'm happy to hear that the stadium seating withheld the initial stress test. If you're confident with its results, and you're willing to take it a step further, I'd be glad to jump on it like a six year old for a while.
  • Who are y'all planning to order your cable service through? I haven't been thrilled with Charter or Verzion, to be honest... and most of the satellite companies requires a one or two year commitment.
  • MST3K isn't as funny as I remember. Don't get me wrong, it's still great... but it's not as great as I remember. That being said, I predict that stadium seating will be the almighty equalizer and will somehow restore 3K's greatness! (I don't know why. I just get that special feeling inside.)
  • Y'all are really fortunate to have as much tree coverage as you do. I'm sure it really, really helps with the AC (or lack thereof) situation.
  • How would you rate the competitiveness of this league, vs. the other one you were in? You should come to our Silver playoff game next Thursday -- I'm curious about how that league compares too ( ... )

the assists TOTALLY count on the four piece nugget performance. They are an important part in the goal scoring process. That, and I REALLY want to hear about the reactions of "4 piece nugget bitch!"

Also, I just signed up for the AT&T uverse. I can let you know how that works out for me, but they've got free installation, no contracts and 200 cash back right now if you do the internet too, and it was WAY cheaper than doing my cable and internet the way I'm doing it now. That and I've always been happy with AT&T

hmm, I very well may do that. What all did you have to do? Just call 'em up?

1. You must be bored as hell to post such a lengthy entry.
2. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and wonder why you don't post more often.
3. MULKEY! Do not doubt the greatness that is MST. Travis! Don't worry we'll go easy on you. Whether you become a fan or not you'll probably still enjoy the ones we have selected for you. Don't worry, it will be over soon enough.
4. I'm totally psyched about you guys getting cable for Shark Week. A very noble cause. In fact, since I will be spending more time there that week I shall pitch in for the initial cost of the set up. It's only fair.
5. I never thought about the confusion the goalie would have after you shouted "Four piece nugget, bitch!" at him. How marvelous.
6. Just so you know Mulks, Zack came up with the Happy Meal idea. He's quite proud of it too.

7. Also, thanks for my shark Mulk. I sleep with him every night.

  1. He scaled his work schedule back to 10 hours per week. I guess he's going to have some free time... until school starts!
  2. Everyone should write more.
  3. I'm not doubting the greatness. The greatness will, no doubt, be amplified by the stadium seating!
  4. Cable for Shark Week is, indeed, a noble cause. I'd like to see Travis or Zack pannhandling with a sign: "Will work for food ^Cable for Shark Week".
  5. I'd like to see it too. I've got front-row seats!

1. I cut ten hours off, still working 30 hours
3. I doubt the greatness, it's okay, you don't have to tell her you don't.
5. It will happen sometime, womewhere
6. Zack did think up the name, but it didn't stop him from getting army men wrist-shot at his shins with The Happy Meal.

1. Apparently I can't read.
3. I remember liking it more as a kid -- but I still enjoy it. I'm afraid you're alone on this one, Travis.
5. It better happen. And let's say that it has to be four goals -- just to give you motivation to score four goals in one game!
7. I'd be more impressed if you slapshot the army men, but I still approve.

Sadly I have a wedding that is DRASTICALLY cutting into my shark week time. I say we do opening night at the bar with the t-shirts. Sundays at the loop hole are always good, even if they did get rid of the best bar light thingy ever!

1. Have you not heard of paragraph breaks?
2. I wonder if charter has a refer-a-friend program. They've been raping me of my hard-earned money for years. I could use a $20 credit or something.
3. Nothing to say on Shark week as I still don't understand the fascination (please don't beat me).
4. If only MST3K had done an episode on Event Horizon...my life would be complete (and yes, I checked).
5. I'd like to say the team I'm putting together is cool, but that would be a lie. We will, however, have requisite drinking prior to and after each game. You're welcome to join, as you may be the only person I know who could play well while tipsy.
6. Mmmm, cheese fries.

1. What's a paragraph break?
2. If they do, you could definently refer me and i would sign up asap
3. I won't beat you, you are entitled to your own opinion about shark week.
4. Event Horizon is WAYYY too good to do an mst3k on. You just watched it too late in life, and god knows it's better then wicker man.
5. I approve of this drinking prior and after each game, it intruiges me. Let me know when it starts and I'll be there.
6. Agreed

4. What isn't better than Wicker Man? *shudders*
5. Maybe we should have mandatory drinking prior to our games, too?

4. Give it a chance! 3 interwebs sources list it on their best horror flick list. Yes, THREE different sites!
IMDB #47
90% on Rotten Tomatoes
#17 on Bloodletters
5. I highly recommend it. Though keep some extra trashcans around...just in case (speaking from experience).

1. Hi Travis
2. I like hockey (though I'm not that good at it)
3. See you Friday for poker
4. One of the best MST3K episodes I remember was "The Head/Brain that wouldn't die" but its been a while since I've seen it.
