*pokes LJ cautiously* Seems okay at the moment. kazzy_cee linked to an interesting post here about the reasons behind the problems. Though, must admit I'm seriously wondering about possibly getting on Dreamwidth, and cross-posting. Anyone know the procedures there

My general opinion on attacks is that you're going to encounter them anywhere you go, in one form or another, to one degree or another, so I'll tough it out on LJ.

Dreamwidth isn't working well either. They don't seem to be able to cope with the extra traffic from LJ refugees. And even Twisting the Hellmouth is having problems, quite possibly for the same reason as Dreamwidth.

And whatever you do don't crosspost from Dreamwidth - they say the LJ problems are causing a feedback loop from crossposting attempts which is screwing up DW even worse.

TTH is sorted - some sort of PHP problem, now resolved.

As speakr2customrs says, the idea of Dreamwidth as a refuge from Livejournal problems just isn't panning out - it goes slow and has other problems every time Livejournal goes down, because of the sudden extra load, and the crosspost facility adds more problems.

If you want a Dreamwidth invite I may still have one, but right now I'd wait.
