Mr. Neverpost awakens

So, I went to a charity cabaret show today that was pretty cool. Also, I realized that the place where they were having it is the same place that I once was on the Tech Crew (probably follow spot, but I can't remember exactly since I also did that for school) about a decade and a half ago. How strange that it never occurs to me to think about ( Read more... )

Really....do you remember the show(s)? I have been with that theatre for 20 years. I'm sure I was around for whatever show it was (though I certainly wasn't in it as I haven't done the musicals on the mainstage, and those are the shows that need a follow-spot). I'm guessing it was EVITA or one of those shows...

It was the wizard of oz. I don't remember for sure that I was follow-spot, since I did work the sound board and do other lighting as well, but I was often follow-spot when the performance called for one.

Ah, it was probably the Young Peoples' program -- I'm sure they did that one.

One of the ladies singing last night used to co-run that program, though I don't know if she did while you were there...

Again, I failed at reading the book. I just couldn't make time with all the work stuff I had to do. Plus I haven't been sleeping well again, so there was a lot of time wasted trying to sleep and not being able to do anything else.

Usually reading helps me sleep. Especially if the book is dry or boring. Of course if it is interesting then I don't sleep much either but I am much more relaxed. :-D

I have a lot of trouble reading boring books. I keep wanting to stop. The very interesting ones definitely prevent me from sleeping. Worse still, I can get into even vaguely good books. So my book selections tend to go from "throw this away" straight to "must finish now". :( You'd think non-fiction books (my least favorite sort) would be the same way, but for anything good I'll run into something new and I'll just have to try it (for computer books) and/or write something down about it (for philosophy or similar) right away, neither of which is conducive to sleep.

And who spread the rumor that the Druid may be ditching you? If it was the DM he may get the horns :-)

well, you didn't leave during the game, but I was getting the impression that you were going to do a retirement like Kel did, and it just didn't happen yet because you weren't there.
