How I look at it. When you are attracted to someone and I mean really attracted the sex of the person at hand shouldn't matter. If you like em you like em. I don't think that being bi is being shelfish. Wanting to string along a guy or girl, or a guy and a guy, or a girl and a girl is being selfish.
True, true. But does society really let it go away as simply as that? We could not give a flying fuck, but at the end of the day, who is really capable of that?
Now why is that so? Is it so wrong if I don't find myself as physically attracted to boys as I am to girls? Or if I don't find myself as emotionally attracted to girls as I am to boys?
I'm all for dating a guy, but its either I haven't found the right guy or that I just don't find guys attractive in an emotional way.
I know my comment was harsh and, really, I'm trying to avoid judging you personally. It's just that the whole "have my cake and eat it, too" thing gets under my skin. The kind of person I describe, which could be someone completely different from you, is only gay when he's horny but straight when he's looking for a steady date. That's unfair to a lot of people, especially anyone who has dealt with strife as a result of being openly gay.
I find some women attractive, personally, but I simply don't pursue them because, well, I'm not that interested. If you're honestly attracted to both but just haven't found the right guy to strike up a relationship with, that's fine. The key word, though, is "honest." A lot of folks I see who identify as "bisexual" seem to really mean "Sure, I'll let you blow me, but don't think I'm going to treat you as a person, fag." Again, not accusing you of that, it's just that sort of attitude that puts me in a sour mood around people who identify as bisexual.
You describe a really fucked up closet case. Maybe I was as you mentioned before.. gay only when I'm horny and straight as an arrow at other times. But when I came out to my friends I was prepared to step out of that shell.
It was a long enduring moment, but I took it all by my stride. I like girls, but I like guys too. Deal with it. That was the vibe I gave to all my friends, I don't know where this is heading too actually.
Haha ok now I'm tongue-tied. I guess its just a big misunderstanding but I don't blame you for it and FYI: I prefer blowing guys. ;) Heh.
Being bisexual isn't selfish at all. In fact, you're spreading the love around. Everyone needs love... and buttsecks, but more love... but with lots of buttsecks right after
( ... )
Hmm I know several people who feel the same way, both who like guys for relationship and girls for sex and the other way around. though in some cases it is a matter of hypocracy, many of them are also attracted to some features of one gender and some of the other. Its not about finding the "right" gender, its about finding someone who is attractive to you, no matter what combination of features you like.
I hate when people tell you bi in not an optionaussietexasJuly 22 2007, 01:59:38 UTC
I really get sick of hearing that you can't be bisexual. Labels are to make OTHERS feel comfortable and in control, I think. Like Democrat, Republican, left, center, right, liberal, conservative.......SCREAMS! Don't box me in!
You are what you are, mate. I empathize with you. Hell, I can't even let people know, because of the educ field I'm in. That's fucking stupid, but true!
Sorry for the rant. I meant to add my support to your situation, mate.
