Can I just say I love how many new shows there are that I’m interested in checking out! I know I’m not likely to fall in love with most of them, but it’s that pleasure of anticipation, in d/l a bunch of pilots and wriggling with excitement over what each may bring and speculating as to its promise. I’ve seen and reviewed The Secret Circle, Revenge Read more... )

I enjoy Unforgettable well enough. Prefer Parenthood & Body of Proof over it though so not sure how much longer I'll continue to watch Unforgettable "live". LOL

A Gifted Man - he is a jerk, BUT he's slowly changing. I just watch it for the Julie Benz factor. LOL

Terra Nova - You do realize that the woman in these pics: http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx90/borg_princess/terranova/6x3.png - is none other than "The Voodoo Queen" from TLW don't you? LOL

It's okay, but not so addictive that I've gotten the second and third eps. I'm putting it on the back-burner; it's good for entertaining me in the evenings when I'd otherwise be bored out of my mind, but otherwise...

BODY OF PROOF IS SO MUCH LOVE, I CAN'T EVEN. I adore this show sfm. Although the conflict between Kate and Megan is getting old, ugh.

I suppose I'm just not into the idea of 'the good woman redeeming the douchebag' undertones this show is giving off, 'coz I really don't think he's that bad, so the redemption element is lost on me.

LOL. Do you like her character? 'coz I adored her on Dexter but YE GODS the sister irritates me.

:O :O :O :O

*HEADSPLODES*

I TAKE IT BAAAAACK.

Gosh, you have a memory like an elephant! That's incredible you recognize her- I'd feel bad, 'cept I didn't watch that ep more than twice and I tuned out on her scenes. *shudder*

Yes I like the sister on A Gifted Man. Dude, it's Julie Benz. ;-b

I tend to remember odd names & she has one...Simone Kessel - she also was on an eps of Farscape. You do know that Terra Nova is filmed in OZ right? ;-b

*shrug* I know, but the writers ain't making it easy for me to like her character. Hopefully she'll be less grating on me as the series goes on, I don't like not liking actresses I like. (lol, that ramble of a sentence)

Yesss, I know that! I think it's cool they filmed it here, even if it's nowhere near where I am. They had to come all this way for the pretty scenery, lol. (just like with TLW)

I should start watching Terra Nova. I can't believe I've never heard about it until now. O_O'

Hope things are well with you. *Hugs*

Lol! Ads for it have been everywhere! And a lot of my flisters are posting about it, so I was destined to check it out. I think it's pretty decent and has a broad appeal (hopefully), so you might like it!

Things are well indeed, thank you, hon. *squish* The only negative in my life is the lack of internet, but my family is *knock on wood* getting me wifi whatever for Christmas, so I'll be much more present and comment-y in a few months!

I figured I've been living under a rock. My new part time job, as much as I'm enjoying it, has been eating up my free time. I need to catch up on tv and movies, he he. :P

I think this is a good time to be catching up on tv- there's so many new shows coming out and old shows returning, it's a blissful smorgasboard atm! *sighs happily*

You wouldn't wait for the father of your three children while he was in jail? O.o That said I agree with your mixed feelings on Jim. He is SUCH an ass. I am so sick of main male characters who are like this. And yeah, I hope they have a good explanation about why they decided to have/keep Zoe ( ... )

LOL, well, the thing is, do we know how long he was meant to be in jail for? Because he broke out after a couple years, but if he was in there for 10 or 20 or life, yeah, I’d be moving on. But the thing is, I don’t picture myself ever in that position, and I imagine it’s different with a couple with children, you have more to link yourself to that person, but yeah.

He is SUCH an ass. I am so sick of main male characters who are like this.

*high five* When will writers learn that this alpha male macho BS just isn’t appealing? I get so angry whenever characters- usually, 99% of the time male- lose their cool and go beat up on people and just have the exact wrong and unjustified or unreasonable reaction. SMH.

I hope they have a good explanation about why they decided to have/keep Zoe.

I cannot think of anything, short of needing to harvest organs, like with that Abigail Breslin and Cameron Diaz movie.

To be honest I was even more annoyed with ( ... )

Yeah, when they got there he was talking to his wife about it when they were wondering if they'd make him carry out the rest of his six year sentence. For me in that situation it would definitely depend on what the guy did and if we did have kids I'd probably be more inclined to wait so long as his crime wasn't something unforgivable. ::shrugs ( ... )

Oh, six years? That's not too bad. I was thinking if it was decades, IDK I'd put my life on hold that long...and if he was a terrorist or something, deal-breaker, but yeah, this situation doesn't sound so bad and they obv love each other, which makes sense that she'd be busting him out of jail and all. I draw the line there- I'm not gonna do something illegal and wind up behind bars myself!

I wonder if they'll ever explain Zoe's existence- don't get me wrong, I adore her and I'm glad she's a character in the show, but it's kinda random. I guess they wanted the drama of him being a convict but didn't want to make him 'unsympathetic' and so had it be a ridic crime that nobody would condemn him form?

UGH UGH UGH. Jim. Please. The paranoia is just insane there. I get him worrying the guy has feelings for his wife, but saying there's a whole conspiracy going on whereby he recruits her for the SOLE PURPOSE of hooking up with her...no, wait, to have the chance of hooking up with her! Absolutely ridiculous ( ... )

Yeah Doctor Who chick.
I like that the two leaders seemed to have an somewhat amiable past but are now on opposite sides.

Yeah, but where from, do you know?

I do enjoy that interaction- it’s nice when you have enemies on opposite sides who aren’t all RAEG-y and can still be sensible instead of frothing at the mouth to kill each other. (lol, the nerve of Mira to trade for her man when her side’s been trying to kill him! And I love that he’s practical enough to take her up on it, since they need that metal or whatever, instead of being all ‘my principles won’t allow it, rahrahrah’.

I think them having a perfect family would have just been boring.

ITA! I have to say, I’ve seen a lot of family conflict, and a LOT of it is silly and banal and utterly frustrating to me, but the father/son conflict, while cliché, is actually really well-done here. I was totally on Josh’s side and I liked that he wasn’t falling into the ‘oh, one big happy family’ thing.

I know there's a lot of alpha males characters that act silly but when he wanted to ( ... )

Damn, I'm so glad it wasn't just me with the Skye & Taylor scene! That I don't want to disappoint you line and lingering looks got me bad.

*bouncesqueeflail* YAY, I AM NOT ALOOOONE, OMG, THEY GOT YOU, TOO, I AM SO HAPPY, ILU. *tacklesmooch* :D :D :D I have so much love for this show rn, it just… <3 I know they’re not meant to be a couple, IDEC, just let them have scenes like this once in a while, PLEASE.

(I’m kinda scared, though, ‘coz the Shannon family are the stars, but the others, not so much. I hope they don’t kill Skye or Taylor off *bites nails*)

Maddy'll break a rule or two when her hand is forced for her brother's sake or something I predict.

See, if it’s like that, I won’t mind! It’s just, she’s the ‘good daughter’, she wants to please her parents and obey authority figures and this is why I would think it OOC for her to just defy the rules and throw caution to the winds. But if it was for a good reason, like for her brother, that’d be fine.

Or perhaps she just cracks and goes a discoverin' and the cute boy will rescue ( ... )

I'm enjoying Unforgettable a lot - I like Poppy Montgomery and I really like kevin rankin who plays one of the cops - both him and the girl like you mentioned above seem good and if they get more backstory I'll like it more. I watched the first A gifted Man but not the second one - I didn't get into the first one too much. I fast forwarded through a lot.

I didn't watch terra nova though - I missed that one.

I’m glad the show’s working for you! I hope the writers develop the ‘sidekicks’ more. I mean, with Castle, Ryan and Esposito aren’t the stars, but man, they are often the highlight of the ep for me, they just contribute so much to the enjoyment factor. So if the writers work on that with these two, I’d dig it. I think there was one exchange in the pilot that had me snickering and thinking they had potential. *fingers crossed*

I liked the first for the concept, and also ‘coz I semi-shipped the Doctor and a background character, so I d/l the second for them- and after fast forwarding through the whole ep, I hit up IMDB to find that chick wasn’t even in it. >_< I’mma d/l the third ep ( ... )
