So, unlike 99% of Thor viewers, I (metaphorically) walked out of this shipping not Loki/Sif, which is the fan favorite, and not Loki/Jane, but Loki/Darcy. I know what you're thinking!

and the choice of caps is wonderful- I know he's probably more like 'be cool, dude' in his head and hence the calm almost-smile, BUT STILL, anything to support the ship! <3

I'm interested to see if David and Regina will have any interactions. I mean, she was the one that saved him and was his primary contact all those years, so he might want to talk to her...thank her, maybe? You never know!

I didn't even watch Thor, but now I want to. If only to know more about these characters and fall in love with this ship. Because it sounds exactly like my kind of thing.

Oh! Wait, no, no, no, I mean, yes, they ARE amazing and I ADORE this ship, but jsyk, when I make cracks about how 'lol, they never met', it's for real, okay? Absolutely ZERO canon basis for it, so you're not disappointed on that note.

Aside from my frenzied disclaimers, seriously, watch the movie! I enjoyed it so much, even before I started shipping (though that made it a hundred times better), it's a lot of fun and lots of pretty people in action mode with wise cracks and yeah. ^_^

I will definitely watch it! I've been slacking on my movie watching (despite working in a video store), so I'm ridiculously behind on a lot of newer stuff. It was already on the list to check out, I'll just bump it up a little higher ;)

Thank you, I've always thought so! There are a lot of relationships that TPTB don't focus on that really work in theory and I'm so happy when fandom steps in to fill that vacuum. ^_^

(It rather gets on my nerves when people act superior 'coz their ships are canon. I mean, in that case, be grateful and don't ruin it for the rest of us, y'know?)

Ha! *high five* Well, your enthusiasm is excellent, even without a working knowledge of the characters! I've fallen for pairings without having seen the source material myself in the past.

I hope I'm not intruding or anything, but thank you for linking to my fanmix! I don't think I've ever had an easier time compiling a mix just because Loki/Darcy have such marvelously endless possibilities between them.

Also:

What's the point of shipping a villain if he's whitewashed and his darkness isn't addressed?
I agree with this, very much so. Loki tends to get woobified by the Thor fandom in general, which can make fic where he's in-character (especially when paired with someone) difficult to find. That's part of the appeal of L/D to me, as I love gals who won't take shit from anyone, even if the person in question is a Norse god.

I was randomly searching Darcy/Loki and was delighted to find your post- I've not listened to the fanmix yet, 'coz I literally only just found it half an hour ago while compiling links for this post, but the art was so pretty and the song selections with their quotes look very appropriate, so yes. ♥

Plus, I Author My Own Disaster? SO perfect for this pairing. *applauds* Lovely work!

Some folk (and it's understandable, I suppose) can be particular/territorial about their ljs, so I love it when people aren't afraid to just jump right in and comment/link/etc. - especially when it involves fanwork I've made and shared. I hope that you enjoy it when you're able to give it a listen! The song I pulled the title from, The Past Is A Grotesque Animal was one of my first selections for the mix, and that line is so, so perfect from both of their perspectives. Everything really fell into place with this mix (usually, I take a month or so to compile and fret over them)I'm d/l it now!
