This show is fabulous for all the potential pairings. I could ship EVERYBODY in the show, tbqh. I've never been able to multi-ship before but all the characters have such enjoyable dynamics with each other, it's so easy!

I get your point about not wanting to claim it's canon, but I wouldn't have judged you even if you hoped it woud become canon :D Everyone is free to believe what they want ^^ I know what it's like to be a hard shipper fangirl, and I can be sort of "yeeees it *is* canon, look how they are sweet to each other *o*" XDXD (but well, I'm not that delusional, and it's also for fun XD and even if I thought about something being canon, I let people think otherwise ^^)

It's incredibly how much Ruby love there is! So sweet when minor characters get attention, although then it becomes annoying when there's so much fan love for her, but TPTB don't give her scenes! Double-edged blade of fandom; I doubt I'd've cared about her if it weren't for other fans being all flaily over her and now it bugs me when she's not given screentime. But I hear the ladies are meant to be hanging out in one of the upcoming eps, so that'd be cool!
RUMPLES/EVILQUEEN, ZOMG. ♥ Yep, I'm multi-shipping again, since I've seen/heard promo stuff for ep 8 and watched more Lana/Robert interviews, hee! :D

It just amuses me the way that J-Mo and Lana choose to play the hostility between their characters. 'Yes, we're going to smile prettily and stand really close to each other'! If you take the gifs of them at the coffee place out of context, you'd totally not get that they're meant to be enemies!

I just marvel at how different their real voices are from their characters, the both of them! :D I'm so impressed with accents and vocal shifts because, even when I was in community theater, I never learned how to DO that so I always just sounded like me. Much love for their ability to do that!

They do play off each other IRL fantastically, which is nice to see. So many movie interviews have the actors going "meh" at each other when they have to interact. ABC's done something right for a change!

Wow those pics of the queen and Snow are interesting! I thought Jennifer and Ginnifer looked alike -- just look at their facial structures rather than anything else and they're definitely similar enough to look related, I think.

I think with me, I never saw it because I knew J-Mo from House, so I was well-aware of who she was, and I'd seen Ginny from Big Love and various movies, so it wasn't like me seeing two unknown actresses and being taken by the similarities, it was just seeing two actresses I knew quite well and NOT seeing those similarities, if that makes sense? (IDK, that's just me, though. I have cousins who are twins and people can't tell them apart, but to me, they look so different 'coz I'm so familiar with them)
They didn't look more related to me than any other two pretty white women, so I never really got all the confusion over them and I lol'd when I saw secrets on FS referring to them by the wrong name. But when I was going through pics for this post, the third from above was the first time

I only knew Jennifer from Trek and knew that Ginnifer looked vaguely familiar and then when the show went from the fairytale world to ours I just assumed that that was Snow in our world because I wasn't sure where they were going with it. Which is silly, yes. Because they're obviously different women but at the time I was confused about the direction the show was going. :]

Yessss, it was such a fabulous sequence of moments for them! That ep was kinda boring to me 'coz of Jiminy Cricket, IDEC, but those Emma/Regina moments made it worth my while! I love the angst with them fighting and then Regina getting choked up and Emma's like 'whoa, she's actually upset, um, okay, don't fight, try to help her', d'aww! MORE MOMENTS LIKE THIS, PLEASE, SHOW.
Although the fight in ep 7 also pleased me, it was pretty satisfying seeing them trigger each other like that, lol.

I can get onboard with finding the rivalry/arguments/antagonistic relationship interesting and entertaining and such, but I dno't think I'll ever get to ship. I'm pretty canon-based when it comes to shipping, just in general. Not always, but often.
Not that I really have a ship for either of them, atm, apart from vague Emma/Graham, but I wouldn't say I'm set on that.
No worries on that count! I'm always amused by my own tastes at these bizarre ships, I wouldn't be trying to force them on anyone else.

That's entirely it. I'm utterly invested in those kinds of relationships. I call it shipping for convenience, but it's the interaction I'm most keen on- if writers turn it romantic, that's cool, too, but it's that delicious rivalry that appeals to me the most. (I'm finding it hard going with fics- everyone seems to want to make them kiss in the first chapter out of nowhere, which, yeah, no, not what I'm looking for- then again, I'm ridiculously hard to please. What I want is for someone to come along like this Andy/Miranda writer from the Devil Wears Prada fandom who wrote over 100, 000

Okay then. That makes more sense. See, I don't think I could read fic where they jump into bed together or start making out. It would be weird for me. Develop the relationship in a like, "yeah, okay, it's a remote possibility, BUT FOLLOW MY LOGIC HERE" kind of a way is a different thing.
I can respect that, even if I don't always agree with/like the logic.
