That sounds like a wonderful Family Day. I'm toiling away at work ... apparently the City doesn't have to give us today off because we got Remembrance Day.

What a raw deal! It is turning into a pretty awesome family day... although I haven`t got too much done on that list yet because the reupholstering is taking way longer than I thought! Oh well I think its going to look good!

Is it hard to reupholster furniture? Where did you learn how to? I always see cute little chairs and such at thrift stores, and I would love to give them a facelift but I wouldn't know where to begin!

Well I`m still stuck on the reupholstering hahaha so who knows how much of that I`ll get done.

I've never reupholstered anything before today... and I'm just making it up as I go along. The chair I bought at VV had a tattered slipcover and I cut it apart and used it as a pattern... then pinned it together and am now sewing it... and them I may attach it with finishing nails.. or I may just turn it into a slip cover so that I can pull it off and wash it. I will put up pictures when I`m done!

That was really innovative to take the existing slipcover and make it a pattern! I always thought I'd just buy a bunch of material and start stapling and hope for the best. Hehe. It'd probably end up looking like rubbish but who knows. [I've never really properly learned how to sew.]

I love HGTV! Today I bought some cheese in america and ate mexican food. I will now format my desktop and then print off resumes!
