I seem to have become a once a month poster and that is just pitiful.  I used to be all over my CC journal so I don't know what my problem is other than life getting in the way.  Thank you to my journal buddies for being so understanding.

Congratulations on the weight loss!!

Also, congratulations on joining a church! What denomination is it? My husband grew up Catholic and I grew up going to a nondenominational church. The first almost 10 years of our relationship we had trouble figuring out what to do with regards to where we would attend church. Derek usually went with me, but he never felt a part of things. It was a difficult thing for me to feel like it was something I was doing more or less by myself. Recently, though, we have found a church that we both feel good about, and I think our entire family is going to join! I can't express how big of an answer to prayer this is and how uncertain it looked for so long. So don't lose hope!

Thanks for your reply! It's a Baptist church, and Josh was raised Methodist. So, we're not too far off. He is 100% supportive of my joining and he says it's the best church he's ever been to, he's just not ready to join yet. He is attending more regularly than ever before and yes, there is hope!

Yay on losing the weight!! Sounds like you are definitely on the path to losing more! Woo!

Also, congrats on finding a church! I didn't grow up going to church, but have just started (and became members) of one that we love (it's Baptist also). I am really enjoying finding my spirituality!

I enjoyed reading about your potential mission trip and how you had just found a new church and were getting involved. Isn't it a great feeling knowing you're on the right path?

So good to hear from you. Yay for losing the weight. That same goal has been heavy on my mind and I'm glad you have done something about it. I wanted to lose weight for my 30th (this June) and still haven't found the right path.

As for talking about your beliefs, I think it's great. If someone finds the need to de-friend you for your beliefs, well then, they don't belong in your journal anyway. Good for you!!!

My goal was to be skinny by my 30th, which was in February. Didn't happen, but I think I was -11 or so at that point. Now my goal is to lose the weight once and for all while I'm 30 and be done with it. Good luck to you too!

Thanks for understanding and being supportive!
