Slow start, but progress

Each failure has taught me a lot, so I'm feeling confident I'll get what I want with this soon.

Then its not a failure. Failures are expierences you don't learn from!

It all sounds great. I can't wait to see pics of the process and the final results.

Nah, I like the word failure. Tried and failed twice, going to try again. No shame in failure; it happens a lot, especially in experimentation. Will happen again in the course of this project. I'm doing stuff I've never done before, and though I expect to ultimately succeed, I understand that I'm going to have failures along the way as I figure things out. Was the same with the camel. Same with the Oz costumes last year, which ultimately failed to come together, but had several great successes along the way that I'm proud of. Failure's always a possibility in these things. Wish I had a good camera to better document the work.

Lucas, if I ever make it to Dragon*Con someday, will you dust that off so I can I dress up like (a heavily tattooed) Belle and be my hall costume buddy for the day?

I cannot wait to see this! I am totally cheering you on!

Just make your dress hilight the more literarily-bent tattoos. Seems like Belle would be the type to get a "one ring" back piece. We could tweak the whole thing to more of a burner aesthetic and get Dio to work up a fire-eater take on Lumiere.
