The football shoulder pads I ordered a few days ago should be here on Tuesday; and talking to my prosthetic guy, the foam prosthetic is being made this week and should be ready to ship in just a few days.  I've got my strategy for round 3 of teeth-making tomorrow; so by the end of the day Saturday, I should have my tusks, and then back to work on ( Read more... )

Been having some difficulties building the tusks for the Beast.  The stone cast of my teeth came out great, but mixing the dental acrylic was tough in my first attempt and was just coming out too sticky and unmoldable.  Last evening I finally got the mix right where I could mold the acrylic and made some tusks and teeth!  The cool part was that, ( Read more... )

This year it's Disney's Beast.  I'm going to check-list some things here so I know what I need to do, what I've done, and how my progress is coming.  The con is 76 days away, so I've got 11 weekends to make this happen starting....now!

I did officially get the tent from last year as a stage called "the Oasis Stage" and we worked out a schedule for me, Lindsay and a music act throughout the day.  Cool stuff, and that came together nicely, but I still have so much stuff to get through!

Thanksgiving was tasty if a bit quiet, and after the meal the folks and I took a walk in their neighborhood and we ran into two of the kids I was friends with in my youth.  Good guys, and instantly recognizable as the same kids with the same personalities, just taller, slightly scruffier and with more tattoos.  Unexpected run in, but very ( Read more... )
