Lease time's about up. The complex is full of college people (mainly bros) moving out. I'm sure there will be a relatively equal amount moving back in ... if I'm unlucky, I might have some as roommates.

I am now no longer broke. I can afford food.

Things with Hippie Girl continue to go well. She also likes to cook, and she can't eat gluten, which is an interesting thing to work around. The more dates I go on, the more I appreciate someone that I just feel comfortable around.

Good first date with hippie girl has led to just as good second and third ones, where we stay up progressively later. I haven't had any sleep ... we literally stayed up all night laughing. Not sure what will happen but it's fun now anyways.

Just appreciating what life throws at me sometimes.

Moving along in life. I went to DC this past weekend with a few students from App for an EPA grant competition.

Our project is using the sun to disinfect water in developing countries. Just leave a bottle of water on the roof all day, and it can get hot enough to pasteurize the water - killing cryptosporidium, cholera, protozoa, worms, even ( Read more... )

I listened to this today and my soul imploded. Hell, I'm not even a singer.

Music used to be so central to who I was as a person. Obviously in the past few years this has changed, dramatically. That did give me the chance to grow in other ways, but occasionally I miss it more than I've missed anything in my life.

Busy week. Between working on my part of the P3 proposal, getting my transportation project done (ish) and being up on Beech Mountain, I was going full steam up until Saturday night. I was sick even though I didn't have time for it, but I think I've mostly kicked it.
