I just finished editing a piece and am glad that I let it sit. The last time I worked on this story was a few weeks ago and I was able to hack away MANY problems and smooth out many problems with the language. While in Vancouver, we stayed at a lovely little hotel called The Buchan. It's located a block away from Stanley park in a very residential area. We liked it for many reasons, but the ambiance and price were high on the list. It was $73(CN) a night for a room with private bathroom. This past weekend my beloved and I went to Vancouver (B.C.) for a few days of tourism and vacation. We took the train and watched the scenery pass in slow, pleasant splendor. While there, we saw an urban skunk, watched a drunk girl vomit under the table in an expensive restaurant, and were passed on the street by a Korean-looking Rastafarian. ( Read more... )

Yesterday I completely forgot to wear green, but we did go down to Tha Sout' Side to have dinner with my dad: corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, asparagus, beets, and soda bread baked by yours truly. This afternoon I installed some tutelary divinities atop my computer monitor: a pack of dinosaurs. They range from the Jurassic to the Cretaceous and crouch there, staring at me with beady black eyes.
