I'm just irritated that they pick the wrong music. I actually like some of the stuff that was made then (I'm contractually obligated to like the Smiths), but is that what people remember? No. It's "Come On Eileen" seventeen times a day. Die.

Also, this nostalgia bit would make so much more sense if people saw it as what (IMO) it is - a pendulum effect in other factors in the [pop]culture, like economic upturns and downturns. Which are not new.

The 80's, at the time, didn't know how horrible an idea the 80's fads were until retrospective.... I can forgive them.

But these people who wish it was the enties... what's their excuse?
