I realized something a couple weeks ago.

I was perusing the reference section of the bookstore, aimfully searching for a wedding organizer: a binder of some sort that has spaces created for recording all the steps you have to take to plan a wedding. I don't know what the difference is. Matt and I had a conversation about it (after reading your blog). We're sitting here, making plans that involve our lives coinciding over the next couple of years. You know, moving in together, grad school, that sort of thing. Which is setting ourselves up for the next couple of years, with the intention of setting our lives up together for the next couple of years after that, "phases of life" after that ... and so on, and so forth ( ... )

I really like The Essential Guide to Lesbian and Gay Weddings by Tess Ayers and Paul Brown. It has all of the practical stuff that a "straight" one has without the gendered assumptions.

when are you coming down so we can take care of some of those jitters?

I think the simple fact that you are continuing to try new things and expand your hoopy-ness is the reason why you'll do just the opposite of grow stagnant in this art form that is beginning to show it's face. You can hoop with the best of them in our little community so I would venture to guess that if you want it bad enough (super hoop bad ass-ness that is) then you'll do what it takes to get it.
