My dad collapsed and was rushed to the hospital with what they doctors are saying was a mild heart attack. They're keeping him overnight for observations.

My dad is a tank. For his own body to rebel against him like this is something I am having a hard time accepting. How is he supposed to live forever if stuff like this starts happening?

It ain't easy. My stepgrandfather has had a total of eight heart attacks/heart episodes now, and the bastard's well over 70 years old. And still screams all the time and eats like a freaking hog. It's something that is survivable.
I know that doesn't make it easy, doesn't make it fun, because it's a terrible thing to see your parents hurt. Better a (relatively) small thing now, while he's still rather young and able to fix a problem, than a big one later on that had no warning signs, though.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, darling, and tell my family to do the same. Here's to wishing you nothing but the best possible outcomes.
