the weather is getting lovely.  i like spring.  i forget that it's going to happen each year - i start believing that it'll be winter forever, that my windows will always stay closed.  and then, suddenly - 70 degrees and sunny.  bam

i am also surprised by spring every year! like, jaw-droppingly shocked. it always feels like a giant gift from the universe has been plopped into my lap.

we haven't chatted in way too long, but i've been thinking of you and i'm really glad to hear you're happy these days.

i know what you mean about getting resigned to winter and then suddenly being surprised by spring.

so you'll be around in pittsburgh this summer? i have no idea what my plans are but i am vaguely considering some kind of U.S. tour. china is canceled because joe has a girlfriend now. also, the olympics could be a little much.

yep. i'll definitely be around. I'm teaching from mid-may to the end of june, and taking german mid-may until the beginning of august, but that won't take up all of my time. there's around a 50-50 chance that i'll visit portland, but i don't know when yet.
