I got a call from Steph yesterday while I was shopping in Key West. (Yayayaya...shopping!!!!!) She was asking me if there was anything that needed to be brought into the house because of high winds. Well, looks like we're going to ride out the tropical force winds and rain from Ike instead of driving up to Ft. Lauderdale. There are other people in this condo building that are going to stay. Al got home last Monday with Maggie. Ever since then it's been the Maggie and Brutus show. Maggie dominates Brutus like she owns him. It's kind of funny seeing this little dog go after this almost monster dog. And Brutus is a gentleman. Maggie has this Kong toy that looks like an octopus. We've had the pup 5 weeks now. The potty situation is good. He goes outside almost all the time now. He hasn't pooped in here in probably 3 weeks. And once in a while we forget to get him outside after he wakes up, so he pees in the kitchen. He's learning a few commands, like sit and lay/lie down. We picked up Brutus at Petland on Tuesday. He is a gorgeous deep dark chocolate brown lab. And cute? When they put him in the little cubicle (they do that in pet stores now so people can pet and look at dogs), he ran right over to me...tail wagging like there's no tomorrow.
