On the 3rd of this month, something had happened. And it goes without saying that the whole thing affected Mac physically ALMOST as much as it did emotionally. He was conflicted.

Mac hadn't stopped by the kitchen. That didn't matter much, since Bulba was on his way to see him instead. One did not simply stop showing up for all the things Bulba also attended without him noticing. Was he sick? That was no good.
The visit he was making to the boxer's room now was perhaps a selfish one in the long run. Worrying about someone else let him stop thinking about his things. But there he was, quietly knocking on the door with a small bag in his other hand.

Mac had been taking a short cat nap when Bulba knocked, or at least, he was nearly asleep. When in a certain amount of pain, sleep was the best medicine, after all. That's what Doc always said anyway, so he stuck to it. The knocking snapped him awake, and he sat up on his cot and asked who it was...just in case. He didn't want to be rude, Mac wasn't the sort to ever resort to that. Bulba got a small response.
Oops. If he had known, he would have tried again later. But he couldn't see what was behind closed doors, so Bulba just had the small voice to go off of.

[Potions, an apology, and food. Usually, when Char beats somebody up, the only thing he expects to see at his doorstep are flaming bags of poo.
So he takes the note along and decides to pay Mac's dorm a little visit. He's nice enough to not barge right in, at least, so here's a chayzard knocking at Mac's door.]

Mac was resting some more when Char knocked. Instead of immediately saying the person can come in, Mac thought maybe it was better if he covered himself up and answered the door himself to hide any suspicions from uninvolved parties. So he did.
"Cooooming!" Mac said to his visitor, trying to sound perked up, as he got up to lightly crack the door.
"Mac." He honestly didn't expect the door to be opened much further than that. He had just finished beating the everloving tar out of the guy not too long ago, after all. That little sliver of space was fine, anyway. The apology note worked its way through the gap between door and door frame.

Oh.
A normal face went to blankness.
"Char."
