Ha, the only reason I did it in SGA was because I needed to have a clear picture of just how many artists I was going to need to round up, and so it was a good way to root out some of the people who might not have the necessary follow-through ability and yet, would still freak me out by having so many people sign UP.

If that makes any sense. :)

I can help you with web stuffs! I can certainly be a story formatting monkey if needed, and make a skin if such things happen. I'm in two minds about signing up for anything more than that. I imagine you'll be inundated with volunteers to take point on the website anyway :)

Oh, I'm running both. Because I--I am clearly insane. Actually, I'm planning on having SGA be about a month behind Merlin on everything, and go live in September. It'll be the last SGA BB that I ever run, and I figure I'll take all the stuff I learned from the last two and go all in. *grins* And hope that my co-mods from last year are still in it.

Is there any rule barring participants from signing up for both a story and art?

People can participate in as many sections of the challenge as they feel they have time for - after all, the due dates for artists are well after the due dates for the writers, so it's not like they'll be doing both at the same time.

Another question:

Though I doubt I'll be able to do this, I thought I'd check, just in case: If, by some MIRACLE, I'm able to complete two fics, can I submit them both? Or do I have to pick one to submit?
