In order to promote a feeling of comrades in arms in the community, I encouraged writers to break themselves up into little subsets of our challenge here, so that they could set up a little e-mail chain to check on their progress/encourage one another/harass one another, etc. Each group could

I'm seeing a few familiar faces, but seeing as I've no idea where to start rounding up people and ALSO! No one ever says no to new friends, so I'm just going to throw myself out there and see what'll come of it :3

I'm going to write a Merlin/Arthur modern ... WELL, sort-of-AU, in which the boys are ~the reincarnations~ (OH GOD that sounds so stupid) of their past selves. But they're not aware of it. Until they find each other and the memories start coming back. COMMENCE THE DENIAL AND UST GALORE.

I'm going for category four, and also, I will be whining. And telling you when I think I've come up with a totally funny joke that I'll belatedly realise isn't funny at all. REPEATEDLY.

HDSKDJFH I WISH I HAD IT FINISHED RIGHT NOW. I AM V EXCITED. Every time I try to work on the plot I just keep on making up "CREATIVE" sex!scenes. I THINK THAT IN THE END, the whole thing will just be a succession of the boys doing the dirty monkey in as many places as possible.

AND SOMEHOW, THIS IS TOTALLY NOT BOTHERING ME AT ALL.

I am now feeling the resounding lack of dirty monkey pre-planning in my story. This needs to be remedied immediately. Of course, now I am stuck with the idea that a creative sex scene should involve two weasels and a ham and my left eye is already twitching.

Hi! Guess I'll give this a go.

I'm wavering between 2 ideas, but am leaning toward a noir PI!Merlin au, in which femme fatale!Arthur comes to Merlin for help. Will be Arthur/Merlin and will probably feature past Merlin/Nimueh, and small amounts of Merlin/Will. idek, I suppose I just like to keep Merlin busy.

The other is florist!Merlin... and that's all I have on that one.

Also aiming for the higher word counts.

I'm going to be writing an Arthur/Merlin story, but have no idea as of yet what it's about, seeing how I signed up yesterday night. (I took the fact I only came across the challenge on the last day of sign-ups as a sign.) I don't really know anyone around here, and find it ridiculously hard to socialise on the internet, but the idea of having a support group for this sounds fantastic!

SOOOOO... would you but up for groupage with all of us? *is hopeful*

I think we're all first time Big Bangers so we can all do lots of hand holding and sending each other bouquets of hugs. I think we would make an awesome Team Ultimate Doom. (Also, YAY for Arthur/Merlin and Modern!AUs - I look forward to hearing more.)

My Fic: A Merlin/Arthur AU that is a mix between BBC canon and the Arthurian legends. It features old!Merlin of Yore turned into young!Merlin of BBC by The Fates. He goes back to Camelot to be of service to a young King Arthur. A dark fic with blood, war, political intrigue, mud, horses, swords, battles and repressed!Arthur.

Me: Twenty-something university student who spends far too much time on the interwebz when she should be worried about getting her degree. Likes Oreos (with peanut butter!!), blankets, art nouveau, skydiving and long walks on the beach. Can spend hours in a staring contest with space... and win. Am seeking people to cheer and spam.
