No news is good news.
We're in Istanbul and enjoying the fat breakfast. Cheese and Nutella have been back on the menu for weeks now. We came at the perfect time. The Marmara is blue and the Bosporous green. It's a holiday weekend in Turkey and all the flags are out. It's a great place, but the nationalism isn't very attractive. It's a bit sad really -seems like ( Read more... ) -

It's great. No surprises yet. We've decided to go back to Turkey and wait for her visa and then go to the States and start digging in. Probably KC. I feel like I'm starting a new life and can do whatever I want. I should be successful. All my cool friends were majoring in Graphic Design or going to Grad school. Or rather, Going to the Kadikoy Evlendirme Dairesi... It will be a chore -getting everybody there. Everybody is staying in a different hotel and Istanbul's public transportation isn't easy. It was great too -the only problem was Tracy missed it. My mom and her beau, my dad and his wife, one of my aunts, Ipek and I met in Taksim and walked to a Meyhane on a beautiful December night down Istiklal Caddesi. There are no plans. I'm so fickle. I looked at some jobs in South Korea teaching English and they pay really well, but... Korea? Thailand pays minimally but Thailand is fun! and warm! The jobs in Korea are so much more legitimate though. They offer health insurance and plane tickets and apartment stipends. They require certificates and ( Read more... )
