I don't know what bothers me more. That MBTA will be stopping passengers to check ID and question them about their activities or that the State Police involved in training the transit officers were from F-Troop.

I love the headline on one of the TV Guide covers toward the bottom of the page: "The UHF Gamble - Is it Paying Off?"

I would want them to ask me... "No, Officer, I was just out of vegetable oil and duct tape, and it's gerbil night. I'm no terrorist!"

Ah gerbil night... Everyone knows that terrorists do not know the value of a good gerbil. Now ninjas... gerbil connoisseurs those ninjas.

I saw something strange about a week ago. 3 MARTA buses full of cops in riot gear heading off to places unknown escorted by 8 or so cop cars. They rolled up Piedmont and down 14th. Didn't see where they went. But it was fucked up. It was like 3 or so days after Herr Bush was in town.

Scary times. Do you have your papers? I suppose "None of your fucking business, officer" is an acceptable answer? Guess I get to mark Boston off my list.

there is a court case going before the Supreme Court, real soon now, where a man in Arizona (i think) was arrested because he would not produce ID. Basically the "victim" wants the supremes to rule that police have no reasonable search priviledge for you to produce ID if you are walking down the street or in your home without a warrent. I forget all the details.
