Nice use of the song, man! It's so interesting - I've heard it a hundred times and never pictured it with any sci-fi meaning, but you really made it work so well and I didn't have trouble making the mental switch. Now I'll forever associate it with this vid :-)

There's a mini-fandom as far as I know who slashes Riddick (esp with Karl Urban since he's the baddie in the second iirc) or ships Riddick/Jack (but don't seem fond of the older actress in the cracked out sequel).

I came for the Vin Diesel, and I stayed for the fabulous editing. You really make me want to see this movie.

You know, this is the only Vin Diesel movie I've ever seen. I haven't even seen the sequel to this one. But it definitely does make me want to check out his other work. Thank you very much for the compliment about the editing. :)

I'm glad you liked the vid! The movie has some really striking lighting and coloring, and I was surprised by how well-written and compelling the characters are (especially for the genre). It's also just a fun movie to watch on a Saturday night, you know?
