Sometimes I feel like the direction of my life is hanging in the air like a moth, and I'm trying my hawk-darn best to focus on which way it twists and snap it up.

Day 2 of a 48. Sitting around the table, waiting for relief to show up. Inane talk around the table. Coffee and leftover softdrinks. Floors still smelling of vacuum power hastily worked over to put in a show of morning duties. Worthless prattle about life unexamined. The tv ignored on some fluffy morning show.

What the hell do I do in Vegas at 8 in the morning? If I gamble, it'll just be me and the old, cigarette-smoking slot-jockey grandmas.

Now I go in and take my test.

I wish I knew more about wedge pressure, and pharmakokinetics.
