Are there any resources on the web for pen pals in braille (whether sighted, VI, or a mix of both), for those of us are who are learning, so we can practice?

Do you all have knowlege of free reader sites that read by voice sound? I got a friend who has a reading disablity & he wanted me to find one for him so he can check his E-mail. TIA.

I just recieved my slate and stylus, and I'm getting ready to write a Braille letter, my first one ever! :-) I am learning Braille on my own, so I have a few questions and don't have an instructer to ask.
