So, I was lamenting the state of the current batch of video games, as I often do these days, when I started thinking of games in the past that I've really enjoyed.  It got me to thinking about a game called Sacrifice , made during Shiny Entertainment's heyday, that I used to have a great time playing.  And so, now I have to play it again.  I tried

i know where you're coming from - i've been jonesing for some nice aliens vs predator action off and on again for the last couple months, ever since i stumbled upon this bitchen' arcade FPS version, ALIEN EXTINCTION or something like that. you can only play a marine, as far as i can tell, and since i've never been able to pump more than two bucks at a time into the machine [since i suck at video games, even cool ones like this, and i just can't justify spending more than two bucks on video games since i'm always thinking "you could totally have bought a comic book by now, dude..."] this means i didn't get very far in either of the missions i tried.

but it was still pretty fuckin' cool, and makes me nostaligic for the ol' AVP. - sigh -
